If you truly need technical writing, the price per word will increase because we will need to offer more to attract higher caliber technical writers. So it’s important to know whether you really need a technical vs non-technical writer.
Here’s how to decide:
Almost every industry and subject matter these days has technical elements to them. However, that does NOT necessarily mean you want “technical writing”.
The REAL question you need to ask yourself is: “Is my TARGET AUDIENCE technical?”
In other words, will your content be speaking directly to other lawyers, doctors, engineers, etc?
Or, is your situation the more common case where the subject matter is about a topic with technical elements, but your TARGET AUDIENCE you are speaking to are NON-technical people?
If the latter is true, then you do NOT need to select the Technical option here. Instead, you will want the writer to take a technical topic, and write about it in a way that the average non-technical reader can understand (without using advanced technical jargon).
This is the amount that will be paid to the writer and editor to write and edit each piece of your content. This does not include the cost to pay your Project Manager to manage your project from start to finish. See the “ Project Management Cost” column on the right to see this additional cost and learn more about all the managed services included.
Select this option if you’d like our editors to find a related image that will compliment each piece of content you order. This additional fee includes a full license to display the image on your website.
Select this option if you’d like your Project Manager to transfer each piece of content you order to your website (we will need your CMS log-in info). Once transferred, each piece will be formatted to match the look and feel of your website, and make any other necessary design changes to the landing page. If an image is included, he/she will size and position it correctly. Finally, the your PM will schedule each piece of content to go live on the specific day / time of your choice each week or month.
Select this option if you’d like your PM to post an announcement to your Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and/or LinkedIn each time a new piece is published on your site. This will help drive traffic to each piece of content you create.
